Faces of Coronado: Alisa Pitchkolan

January 16, 2019

“I contribute to the school because the specific organization that I’m in “WE(fill in the blank)” try to engage the youth to eliminate apathy, which is the youth not being involved in politics or their community. Our organization works to target teenagers, and even younger kids like elementary and middle schoolers on why it’s important to be involved. I work to organize different events and lesson plans for the elementary school kids to start them off at a young age to make sure how important it is to be apart of something civilly. I work together with a lot of friends and classmates. Together we all form the organization “WE (fill in the blank),” which works together with other schools and other community leaders’ lives, and we all work for the same purpose, which is to show how important it is to be engaged.” said Alisa Pitchkolan.
