Volleyball Season: first look

Success has been a trend for the volleyball team in the past. The team has been a top the district standings for the past three years and are hoping to do just the same this year.
The team has about 13 returning varsity members so they look to be a very tough team this year. The girls only lost one senior from the 2017 team that finished with a record of 34-4 overall and a 14-0 district run.
The girls did make a strong run in the postseason beating San Angelo Central and Mansfield with ease in the first two rounds. Unfortunately, their season came to an end in the regional quarterfinal losing to Weatherford. There is no other plan than to get back to where they were and hopefully go even farther in the fight for the state title.
The team has had a very eventful offseason with tons of preparation and a couple commitments to Division 1 programs. Senior to be, Campbell Bowden has verbally committed to Baylor University to further her athletics and academics. Another commitment from the team is junior Alyssa Heist who just recently announced her commitment to TCU (Texas Christian University).
The team will hope to make another strong run this season starting with the Pearland tournament this weekend in Houston.
